Jiran Luther, known to history as Jiran the Blue was born with blue hair, which is where his title comes from. Considered a freak child, he was driven from his village and lived as a mercenary. He eventually joined the legitimate army of his home country and became something of a war hero.

However, when he found out about his king’s less than honorable actions Jiran intervened on behalf of the right thing. This lost him his official position in the army, but he was a popular enough figure that a significant following went with him into exile.
They established a kingdom, which was simply known as “Jiran’s Kingdom” for a long time. Gradually it became known as Jiran, which was gradually corrupted into “Giraun” by the time of the events of Soulstorm Legacy.
