[edit] Old bio
Kregger lived in Vistatus all his life. His parents were farmers but they died when he was too young to manage a plantation so he started a tavern/inn. Business boomed because of the many travelers that travel through Vistatus. One of these travelers was his wife-to-be. When they first started dating she moved in with him.
A few months later they were married. They quickly had a son, and named him Varsden. But, he was born rather soon after the couple was married and Varsden was suspected to be illegitimate. Some of the villagers suspected that Kregger’s wife was having affairs on him with tavern guests. Wayland was among them and he tried to enlighten Kregger to this. Kregger misinterpreted Wayland’s motives and the once close friends were now on bad terms, and they still don’t get along too well to this day.
Now his pride in life is his son. Varsden’s exploits in the military have brought the status of nobility to the Arsalas family. But, this is a double edged sword, as it has caused the rest of Vistatus to become jealous. This is especially true for Wayland, who is responsible for the loss of his own family’s nobility.
