[edit] Hatchet-heads
Hatchet-heads are sapients resembling oviraptorosaurs. They are the most linguistically capable sapient species and often serve as translators. Because of their ability to communicate -and thus do business with- many species and cultures, they have become very geographicall widespread and hatchet-head individuals often accumulate great wealth. Even though the species is uncommon, due to the wealth of many individuals, they have more influence than would be expected.
They armor their necks in layers. The first layer being a long tube made of fire-proof fibrous minerals. The garment is heated with small nodules of iron, which can combine with the fabric, giving an additional layer of protection in case the overlying mail is pierced. Their weaponry consists of the face-axe, which is just like it sounds; a helmet with a sharpened blade at the snout. They also use spike-hammers with small heads and scythe-like weapons with lang handles and smaller blades that are round in cross-section.

Humans are primate-like creatures and represent the most powerful and numerous of the sapient species. Roughly two thirds of the world's sapients are humans. Like most sapient species, there are multiple races of humans. The oldest are the Eldins, a dark skinned people who once ruled a gigantic Universal State. At the peak of their empire, a plague emerged that single handedly crippled them. The Eldins called it "the White Terror." This sudden loss of hegemony created a power vacuum exploited by people of a small light-skinned racial minority of Eldinian descent centered in Nupolia. These people gave rise to the Nupolic, or common race. Their descendants included all other human races.
[edit] Sech-Tlawkai
The Sech-tlawkai are tall sapients similar to ornithomimosaurs. They are strongly matriarchal due to their pronounced sexual dimorphism- females are much larger and stronger than males. Most live in the south, where there are two divisions. The most numerous and influential to humans are the plains setch-tlawkai. They live in arid plains and own large nut orchards. There may be white sechtalwkai in the far south that don't interact with humans. A minor race of sech tlawkai live in the southern marshes. They are shorter than their plains counterparts, with wider feet and longer toes. They have sharper beaks and many small teeth towards the front of their snouts. They hunt birds with three-barrled blow dart guns which they have to insert entirely into their mouths because they lack lips.
